January AGMC BMW Stableford - The Montgomerie becomes a Gray area

While the rest of the 80 player field in the monthly BMW members stableford thought a nice easy 30 something score would be enough to enjoy the first event of 2012, past Captain Malcolm Gray had other ideas, and proceeded to take advantage of great course conditions and put together a stunning 46 point (72 gross), including a triple bogey at the easy par 4 1st! Handicap adjusters will be moving in quickly to ensure Malcolm gets his just rewards, but congratulations go to him from the entire team at The Montgomerie, Dubai, and the victory was met with loud applause in the packed Bunkers restaurant during the prize giving.

Behind Malcolm in division A was Sam Constance, who also put together a low 70 round, but couldn’t catch the in form Scotsman. Yongkyu Yang was the only other player in the 40's, with a 41 being enough to clinch Division B, ahead of 3 other players, of which Mark Calvert won 2nd with the best back 9 hole score.

In the ladies divisions Kerry Fitzpatrick and Pia Johansson took the 1st prizes with 31 and 34 points respectively, with Kate Done and Laura Richardson taking the 2nds.
