AGRONOMY REPORT

Dear Members and Guests,

During the month of January we have continued to improve the putting surfaces.  In the last few days we have pencil tined the greens allowing the water to drain throughout the profile of the greens to avoid possible hazards. We have rolled all of the greens four days a week and we have done fertilizer applications to continue to limit the onset of winter dormancy.

During December and January we continued with the successful overseeding of the tees. We have also seen the arrival of the shortest and coldest days of the year. This has caused the roughs and fairways to be slightly off color, mostly due to the cart traffic and winter dormancy.

Please always remember to fix your own pitch mark and one other on each green of the championship course and the par 3 course. This is especially pertinent as growth and recovery has slowed in the winter months. With your help and our agronomy practices we will try to maintain the highest level of playing surfaces through the winter season.

Thank you for your continued support.
