MICHAEL JAMIESON ~ ACADEMY INSTRUCTOR

Michael hails from Longniddry on the East Coast of Scotland.

As a member at Longniddry Golf Club; Michael soon developed his passion for the game. Surrounded by world famous golf courses along Scotland’s East Coast belt, frequently playing courses such as the Open Championship venue Muirfield and neighboring Open Championship qualifying courses, Luffness Golf Club and Gullane Golf Club Michael was captured by the game of Golf.

Michael's first appointment was at the prestigious Duddingston Golf Club in Edinburgh were as an Assistant Golf Professional gained experience in all aspects of the game from Shop Management to Tournament organization and Tuition. 

There after Michael moved back down the Coast to Craigielaw Golf Club were he soon realized his career path lay in Instruction. During his experience at Craigielaw Michaels first trip to the Middle East in 2005 took him the Emirates Golf Club on a Seasonal Position. Michael was fortunate to observe the coaching methods of world renowned Golf Coach Peter Cowan and his Academy Staff on a daily basis.

Michael joined The Address Montgomerie Dubai in 2006, while commencing his PGA Foundation Degree in Professional Golf in 2010 with Distinctions, during this time has also qualified as a TPI certified Instructor. 

Michael’s passion for instruction continues along with his enthusiastic commitment to the development of Junior Golf here at the club and in the U.A.E.

His philosophy to coaching is open as there are numerous methods of teaching the golf swing, coaching golf and making the experience as enjoyable as possible is essential for pupil development.
