HOLE 17 - HAND
A short hole based on some forms I saw in the desert when we were driving around the site. The hole is plateau’d with pot bunkers and a large symbolic hand in the foreground.
The green turns backwards up a slope but the rear rampart will hold any shot directed toward it.
The hand of friendship in the bunker is also grasping for comfort from the rigors of the desert, but continues our general theme for the course.
The tee shot rides over a valley created by the high tees and the high plateau’d green. There is a rise to the rear and the green surface almost turns the corner. A slightly drawn tee shot will be necessary for the most challenging pin position.
