HOLE 14 - NOSE

This second long par five on this course is another three-shotter and is another bulwark in the theme of friendship.
The hole is an alternate route hole with the fairways separated at the landing points by Arab’s Nose, bunkers which are modifications of the Principal’s Nose at St. Andrews. The green is guarded by bunkers shaped in the Arab script of the word “Peace’.

The green slopes in two directions from the center thus requiring a draw or fade from the second or third shot to hold the green. Again if you miss hit your second or third shot, it will be very difficult to get a birdie. At some places on the green however, a run-up shot is possible.

The right hand side of the green is backed by mounds which will gather the ball.

The bunkers like most of the bunkers on this course are at least knee deep which is in the tradition of the Scottish bunkers. They are real if reasonable hazards. You cannot putt out of these bunkers but they generally slope away from the green making for the best type of sand shots.
