HOLE 12 - MOUNDS
Another par four of good length, this hole helps to provide a good start for the second nine and ensures that the golfer has a pleasant and fast send off either on the second nine or on the first nine of he has started at number ten instead of number one.
This long par four is on a gentle dog leg to a strategically designed green which has rolls as hazards in a similar way to number two hole. The green is counter sunk into the ledge at back and this has the great advantage of gathering any ball which is hit hard toward the green on this very long hole, another concession to the friendship theme of this golf course.
The green itself curves around a mound while a single trap slopes from back to front with a plateau at the back. In this case to give the long hitter a break. The rear pin position is also the most easily held on approach, once more in tune with the friendship motif of the course.
