Nineteen Accolades ~ Dubai’s Best New Restaurant

The team from Nineteen ~ The Montgomerie, Dubai’s contemporary European dining experience ~ enjoyed multiple celebrations recently after being voted ‘Best New Restaurant’ by respected hospitality publications Time Out Dubai and What’s On.

Nineteen was voted Time Out Dubai’s Best New Restaurant in their annual Restaurant Awards held on 10th March 2007.  Despite a strong field of contenders, Nineteen’s excellent contemporary menu, combined with its elegant surroundings, and attentive yet unpretentious service secured the restaurant’s first win and accolade since it opened its doors in February 2006.  The team also celebrated a ‘Highly Commended’ award for Best Contemporary European Restaurant.

Furthermore, Nineteen received additional recognition on Monday 16th April 2007 after winning the Best New Restaurant category in the 2007 What’s On Awards.  The ceremony was held on the lawns of Dubai Media City with 1000 guests in attendance.  Accepting the award on behalf of Nineteen and The Montgomerie, Dubai were Ken Kosak ~ General Manager, Derek Flynn ~ Executive Chef and Jomari Villania ~ Restaurant Manager.

“Our team is absolutely elated with the accolades that Nineteen has received thus far.  ‘Best New Restaurant’ in both the Time Out Dubai Restaurant Awards and now the What’s On Awards is an absolute dream come true.  These awards highlight the fact that it is possible to offer an upscale and contemporary dining experience within a golf club setting.  And while we are thrilled to receive such positive reviews and acclaim, we will now work even harder to exceed the already high expectations of our regular and new clientele,” stated Kosak.
