The Montgomerie, Dubai Introduces... John Gunn

The Montgomerie, Dubai proudly announces the arrival its new Food & Beverage Manager, John Gunn. John was born and bred in New Zealand but followed his passion for hospitality to Sydney, Australia, where he worked his way up through the ranks of the food and beverage world. John spent 10 years with renowned hotel groups such as Orient Express Hotels, Ritz Carlton, and Stamford Hotels & Resorts, during which time he stepped into the role of Area Director of Food & Beverage, Sydney. Numerous awards were collected along the way as a result of his dedication to the industry, including Australian Hotel Association accolades such as Best Bar Manager 5 star hotel category (Ritz Carlton Sydney), Best Bar and Fine Dining Restaurant in a hotel (The Observatory, Sydney) plus Best Bar, Best Restaurant and Best Hotel (Stamford Hotels & Resorts).

John�s most recent post was as Director of Banqueting for The Ritz Carlton, Doha in Qatar. John is joined in Dubai by his wife, Chelsea and their 2 year old daughter, Arabella. When not working, John enjoys fishing, all snow sports and cooking (as a form of relaxation!).
